Corrections
Every correction, within 24 hours.
A publication whose claim is that figures carry their method has to show its own. When we get something wrong we say what was wrong, what it is now, and when it changed — on this page, and on the page that carried the error.
The policy
- A wrong figure is corrected within 24 hours of us learning of it.
- The correction is logged here and marked on the page that carried it. We do not edit a number out silently.
- A story that turns out to rest on a single source is marked unconfirmed, not deleted.
- Where two sources disagree and we picked one, that was an error: both get published with their sources.

Corrections we have already made to our own plan
Nothing below reached a reader — these were caught before launch. They are listed because the habit is the point, and because each one is recorded in the repository with the evidence.
